Chiryū Station : ウィキペディア英語版
Chiryū Station

is a railway station operated by Meitetsu on both the Mikawa Line and Nagoya Main Lines, located in Chiryū, Aichi Prefecture Japan. It is located 41.3 kilometers from the terminus of the Nagoya Main Line at Toyohashi Station and is the terminus of the Mikawa Line.
==History==
The predecessor Chiryū Station was opened on April 1, 1923, as on the privately owned Aichi Electric Railway Company, but soon merged with nearby on the Mikawa Railway later that year. The Aichi Electric Railway Company was taken over by Meitetsu on August 1, 1935, becoming the Meitetsu Nagoya Main Line, and the Mikawa Railway on June 1, 1941. Shin Chryū Station merged with the Chiryū Station (Main Line Side).
New station building was completed April 1, 1959, and named Chiryū Station, with the former Chiryū Station becoming (Main Line Side) and (Mikawa Line Side).
